ABOUT ME
Hello there, internet explorers! I'm Annie (Ah + nee), a Nigerian millennial, born in the 90's, currently living my life in the vibrant city of São Paulo, Brazil. Think samba beats meet suya spice, and you're halfway there.
I’m a Nigerian living in São Paulo who loves data, a mother of two, and an aspiring writer and blogger. My blog will give you insight into my life as an immigrant in this part of South America.
I am a corporate data analyst by day and an English trainer for professionals on the side. But once the sun sets, the real magic unfolds as I sit down to write what's on my heart. I am a budding writer, weaving tales of life, faith, and occasional discoveries I love to share. You might find me scribbling away, fueled by good Nigerian or Brazilian gospel music.
And if you need a sweet treat? Well, you’ve come to the right place! My kitchen transforms into a mini-Nigeria, churning out the most delectable pastries for events. Think chin-chin that snaps just right, puff-puff that's fluffy and golden, and meat pies that are basically a hug in pastry form. I'm basically a culinary ninja, armed with a whisk and a deep love for all things doughy.
But beyond the numbers, words, and pastries, I'm passionate about Jesus, education, development and empowerment. I believe in lifting each other up, breaking down barriers, and creating spaces where we can all thrive. Expect to see posts about navigating faith, motherhood, passion projects, and everything in between, sprinkled with a healthy dose of Nigerian wit and Brazilian flair.
Above all, it is a platform to share my experiences with social change, navigating a career in Corporate Brasil, and finding my tribe. I am a firm believer in sharing things. I believe that sharing shapes our perspectives and, when done well, it brings joy and fulfilment. I hope to impart these beliefs to my readers.
Oh, and did I mention I'm a mom to two incredibly adorable (and occasionally mischievous) little humans? They’re my biggest adventure, my greatest source of inspiration, and the reason my life is a constant whirlwind of laundry, laughter, and learning.
This blog is my little corner of the internet, a place where I can express all my multifaceted sides. It's a space for stories, recipes, reflections, and a whole lot of real talk. Join me as I navigate this crazy, beautiful, and utterly unpredictable journey of life as a Nigerian tricenarian in Brazil. Let’s connect, laugh, learn, and maybe even inspire each other along the way!
